Updated: 4 days ago

On September 27th, we sadly lost Susan Levy, a cherished friend and longtime supporter of Arts for Learning WNY. As we share this remembrance today, we honor her remarkable dedication to the arts and her lasting impact on the young people and communities she served.

She was deeply committed to her community, giving her time and talents to organizations such as Arts for Learning. As a board member and later emeritus board member, Susan brought passion, insight, and generosity to every endeavor. Her leadership and commitment helped shape programs that have touched countless students and families throughout our community.

We are deeply grateful for Susan’s years of dedication and belief in the transformative power of the arts in educational settings, says Amelia Schrader, Executive Director of Arts for Learning WNY. As a former board member and devoted supporter, she helped shape not only our organization but also the experiences of countless students and educators across Western New York.

Susan understood that the arts have the power to open hearts, spark curiosity, and inspire lifelong learning. Her legacy lives on in every classroom and community where creativity and learning come together. We will carry forward her spirit of generosity, vision, and unwavering commitment to the power of the arts.
