Springville Center for the Arts and Arts for Learning to Present Weekly Workshops this Fall

This fall, Arts for Learning WNY is collaborating with Springville Center for the Arts to present free workshops every Saturday! This ongoing partnership continues to support efforts to bring hands-on arts-integrated learning opportunities to rural communities in Erie County.


With a total of 10 weeks of unique programming presented by 5 different Teaching Artists, this series is set to provide families with a perfect, low-stress way to spend Saturday mornings all fall. From painting and clay to world drumming and ancient movement, this series is packed with exciting workshops guaranteed to get the creativity flowing!


Location: Springville Center for the Arts, 37 N Buffalo St, Springville, NY

Time: Saturday mornings, 11am - 12pm

Program Cost: All programs are FREE

Age Groups: Ideal for children ages 5+

Note: No programming on October 31st or November 28th

Math, Mandalas, and Mindfulness

Teaching Artist Kristin Brandt takes participants on a mindfulness journey that draws on the geometry of the world around them!

Galaxy Paint Night

Teaching Artist Kelly Betschen guides participants through designing and painting incredible galaxy formations as they put the beauty of the night sky onto a canvas!

My Culture, My Clay

Teaching Artist Cassondra Argeros leads participants as they discover the possibilities at their fingertips while working with clay!

Photography

Teaching Artist Laura Chenault teaches young artists the basics of photography as they begin to capture the world around them!

Reduce, Reuse, Reimagine

Teaching Artist Cassondra Argeros leads participants through an exploration as they learn how to reuse items to create beautiful and imaginative works of art!

Zine Making

Teaching Artist Laura Chenault unveils the incredible world of zine making as participants learn how to bring their art to the next level!

Zentangled!

Teaching Artist Kelly Betschen introduces participants to the art of Zentangle as they enjoy a morning full of learning, creativity, and mindfulness!

Bookbinding

November 21, 11:00am - 12:00pm


Teaching Artist Laura Chenault guides participants through an exploration of foundational techniques in bookbinding!

World Drumming

December 5, 11:00am - 12:00pm


Teaching Artist Ringo Brill leads participants of all ages in a drumming workshop that demonstrates amazing techniques and enthralling rhythms of drumming traditions from around the world!

Ancient Movement

December 12, 11:00am - 12:00pm


Teaching Artist Kristin Brandt presents an incredible interactive workshop that teaches participants ancient techniques for mindfulness and guiding their energy in positive ways.
