THE WONDERMAKERS
The Wondermakers perform story theatre, based on folk tales from around the world. The programs are very audience interactive and include mime, character work, music, and language from other cultures.
Wondermakers have performed throughout NYS, Ohio, and Florida. In addition to directing and writing
programs for The Wondermakers, Ms. Golden is a published playwright whose plays have been performed across the
USA and in England, Australia, Italy, Norway, and Canada. She is an award winning screenwriter whose screenplay, Give & Take, won Best Comedy at the New Hope Film Festival and the Audience Choice award at the Southern California Film Festival.Ms. Golden is also a professional actress who has studied at The Groundlings in LA, Chicago City Limits,and Second City Toronto. She is an improviser and played Comedysportz for six years. Her film creditsinclude performing scenes opposite Jimmy Fallon in The Year of Getting to Know Us. She’s appeared in over 1,000 TV and radio commercials and won the ANDY Award for Grandma Brown’s Baked Beans and was a Clio nominee for Hathaway Shirts. On stage, Ms. Golden has performed in New York City, Hollywood, Burbank, Atlanta, Cleveland, Syracuse, Orlando and Buffalo and she was Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother in the Castle Show at Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. Three of her favorite credits are: a print ad on the back cover of Mad Magazine, being the original voice of Strawberry Shortcake, and playing Mrs. Claus in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on NBC.Gail Golden has a BFA in Theatre from Ithaca College and an MA in Humanities from the State University ofNew York at Buffalo. She is a New York State certified teacher and also has permanent teachingcertification in New Jersey and Georgia. A former teacher for Fulton County Schools in Atlanta, Ms. Goldenis currently on the faculty of Villa Maria College in Buffalo, New York.
