Give the gift of imagination; help spread literacy, creativity, and meaningful artistic experiences today.

Imagine a look of delight sweeping over a child’s face as they open a package to find a story reflective of their own culture alongside art supplies and creative activities to bring that story to life. This spring, Arts for Learning WNY will make that moment possible for nearly 3,000 children and families across Buffalo and Western New York through our Arts Integration Kits - completely free of charge.

Each kit contains a picture book, guided arts integration lesson plans, and all the materials needed for children and families to explore, create, and learn together.
Research is clear: when children see themselves in the stories they read, literacy becomes personal and academic success follows. Strong early literacy foundations are among the most powerful predictors of future achievement, shaping everything from third grade reading scores to high school graduation rates.
Our Arts Integration Kits go further by weaving the arts into early literacy, science, math, and social studies, providing children with a rich, multi-sensory way to explore big ideas. These kits are designed for use at home, in classrooms, or at local libraries, and are available to families at little or no cost. Your support makes this possible.
Here’s what a donation to this project can provide:
$10: One children’s picture book
$20: One complete Arts Integration Kit for a child or family
$50: Art supplies for 10 Arts Integration Kits
$100: 100 printed lesson plans for a local library
$500: Full set of 30 Arts Integration Kits for a local library
$1,000: Arts Integration Kits + a hands-on workshop for a library

Every gift, large or small, helps bring literacy, creativity, and meaningful arts experiences into homes and communities that need them most.
Donate today to give a child the gift of imagination, learning, and the joy of seeing themselves in the story.
