Kick off the summer with a high-energy, heart-pounding celebration of rhythm and culture! Echoes of Africa invites audiences of all ages to explore the powerful musical traditions of West Africa, Cuba, Mexico, and Brazil. Through live drumming, dynamic storytelling, and colorful cultural insights, professional musicians from Diaspora Drumming guide you on a musical journey across continents - tracing the roots of rhythm from village celebrations to modern-day street parades.
Kids (and adults!) will be clapping, singing, moving, and learning as they discover the power of call-and-response, improvisation, and the vibrant sounds of authentic, hand-crafted percussion instruments. It’s an unforgettable, immersive experience in music, movement, and heritage!
