Reflecting on a Year of Growth and Gratitude

As we look back on Fiscal Year 2024-2025, our hearts are full. Last year brought us incredible achievements and renewed energy for the future. A major highlight to conclude our fiscal year was our move to the Tri-Main Center, a vibrant space that represents growth and collaboration. It is more than just a new address; it signifies our commitment to inspiring creativity within our community. Being part of a hub filled with artists, educators, and innovators has already sparked new ideas, and we cannot wait to see how this will enrich our programs.

Our relocation also marked the end of a significant chapter: over ten years of partnership with the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library. We are profoundly grateful for their support during a pivotal time. While our offices are no longer at the Library, we look forward to continuing to collaborate with the Library System in new and creative ways.

Throughout the year, our work continued against the backdrop of an evolving educational landscape. With federal funding reductions and a shrinking emphasis on arts and culture in schools, access to creative learning opportunities has become increasingly limited for students across our region. Yet, even in this challenging environment, our belief remained steadfast: every child deserves the chance to learn, grow, and express themselves through the arts.

Arts-integrated learning sparked curiosity, built confidence, and strengthened essential skills like critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving. From school residencies and community workshops to out-of-school programs like ArtWorks, our Teaching Artists reached tens of thousands of young people last year helping them connect with their world in meaningful and creative ways.

As we settle into our new home at Tri-Main, we do so with optimism and purpose. We remain committed to amplifying student voices, expanding access to high-quality arts-integrated education, and working alongside schools and community partners to ensure that creativity remains at the heart of learning.

Reflecting on last year, we are reminded of the transformative power of the arts. The stories we hear from our students and educators fuel our passion. Every vibrant painting, performance, and creative expression showcases the resilience and imagination of our youth.

Looking to the future, we are filled with optimism. While the challenges we face are substantial, the opportunities are even greater. We pledge to advocate for arts-integrated education and work diligently to keep it central to our school curriculums. Together with our partners, we will continue to promote policies that support arts integration and secure funding for creative programs.
