Arts for Learning WNY is thrilled to partner with the Buffalo Public School Division of Student Support Services to bring FREE wellness assemblies to schools across the district. Together, we’re making sure students have access to creative, meaningful programming that supports both their personal growth and their school communities.
These assemblies use the power of the arts to spark conversations around important wellness topics such as anti-bullying, character development, emotional well-being, healthy eating, self-esteem, goal setting, and respect. By blending education with creativity, students explore challenging issues in a way that is inspiring, interactive, and memorable.
With seven different assemblies to choose from, schools can select the program that best fits their students’ needs, featuring dynamic performances by PUSH, Red Tie Variety with Ted Baumhauer, Ed.D., or Kevin McCarthy. Performances are tailored for grades Pre-K through 12, ensuring that every student finds the experience relatable and engaging. Beyond individual learning, these assemblies also support social-emotional development, strengthen school communities, and help students feel more connected to one another.
Unlike traditional lecture-style presentations, this approach brings energy, artistry, and entertainment into wellness education - aligning perfectly with district-wide goals of building community and supporting student well-being.
If you are a Buffalo Public School teacher or administrator and your school has not yet booked an assembly, now is the time!
Contact Jesi Miller (jesim@artsforlearningwny.org) or Aundrea Sanders (ASanders@buffaloschools.org) to schedule a performance and give your students an experience they won’t forget.
