CINDY HANNA
Cindy Hanna holds a BA in Dance, MS in Exceptional Education, New York State certification in Physical Education and Health, and is a Licensed Practical Nurse. She is head of the Dance Department at Nardin Academy Elementary, a Teaching Artist for Young Audiences of Western New York. Previously, teacher Dance/Movement based program at St. Mary's School for the Deaf. She continues to teach workshops. The performances she is most proud of: Phoneme, Phonics and Pre-kindergarten;
Fun Fundamentals, designed to assist with reading readiness through dance and song, The Interactive Dance Party performance, stimulates body and brain while having lots of fun and Intergenerational Dance, where students and Senior Citizens from the Community join together using dance as the common denominator Presenter at the National Dance Education Organization NDEO Conference in 2014-2016. She was a board member of New York State Dance Education Association NYSDEA from 2015-2019. In 2009 Young Audience Teaching Artist of the Year, 2012 Nardin Academy dedicated teacher Spirit. New York State Senator along with Young Audiences honored March 8, 2013 “Cindy Hanna Day” for her contributions with dance and education. Most importantly Cindy loves dance and loves to share it.​.
