The Phonics Program is an innovative approach to teaching reading readiness. Using songs, dances, American Sign Language and visuals, the program, created by Cindy Hanna, uses multiple stimuli to teach phonics to pre-Kindergarten through first grade students.  Each letter of the alphabet has a dance, song, visual  and sign, to establish and reinforce the connection of the letter to its corresponding sounds. The Residency culminates in a celebratory performance by all participating students.
